True Essence Foods is a food-tech startup whose mission is to redefine flavor for the global good. Founded by a food scientist, dubbed the Willie Wonka of flavor, the company uses its proprietary technology to create a more flavorful and sustainable world. From fresh hops that remain fresh year-round to unaged bourbons that taste like they’ve been aged in barrels for 30 years.

We helped them create a brand that felt trusted and rooted in science, while inspiring national brands to partner with them to leverage their innovative tech.

Sampling Kit

As a new business tool, we created a custom-designed sampling kit that highlights what True Essence Foods technology can do across a range of industries. The entire experience is accompanied by videos that feature an expert taster that guides people through the experience.

From spirits to coffee to chocolate, each video provided the guidance and information needed to taste, savor, and analyze each sample.

Website Design & Development

UX/Design/Copy/Dev

The website needed to be able to support multiple personas, from ingredient buyers to platform partners to investors. Once we had a clear idea of their mindset we created in-depth user journeys for each persona which informed the sitemap and architecture of each page of the site.

From there, we leveraged our brand guidelines and a visionary tone of voice to tell the True Essence Foods story in a way that was as educational as it was inspiring.

 

Packaging Design

As a way to attract potential partners and prove their innovation, True Essence Foods needed to be able to send out branded samples of products created with their tech. We created a packaging design platform used to accommodate a range of products, providing the necessary information required to communicate what makes each product so unique.
